About Ohio Township Fire Department
Ohio Township Fire Department is a 100% volunteer department, 100% of the time comprised of your neighbors and friends. They’re people just like you – with families, jobs and active lifestyles who still find time to give back to their community.
The department was originally founded as Paradise Fire Department in 1981. Located in Warrick County, Indiana, Ohio Township Fire Department is located immediately East of Evansville, Indiana. We provide firefighting, extrication, specialized rescue, and EMS out of two stations.
The first of the two stations is located at 2400 Old Plank Road off of Old Indiana 261. This founding station was built in 1981 with additions made in 1988.
Station 1 is the home of Engine 63, Rescue 67, Squad 61, and Tanker 65.
Located within Station 1’s first due area are buildings such as Castle Elementary School, Castle North and South Middle Schools, Castle High School, Rolling Hills Country Club, Apple Center, and Park Place Retirement Center.
The second station is located at 4333 Epworth Road off of Highway 66. Station 2 was built in 2001 in response to the rapid urbanization of the area.
